Annual STNK (Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan — the vehicle registration certificate) validation is carried out by the taxpayer every year, together with the obligation to pay PKB (Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor — the provincial annual vehicle tax) and SWDKLLJ (Sumbangan Wajib Dana Kecelakaan Lalu Lintas Jalan — the mandatory road traffic accident fund contribution).
Annual Tax Payment Steps
- Visit the nearest Samsat office bringing your original KTP and original STNK.
- Collect the annual tax registration form at the Samsat counter.
- Have your documents verified at the tax assessment counter.
- Pay the tax at the cashier’s payment counter or via an official ATM / e-banking channel.
- Receive the SKPD payment receipt (Surat Ketetapan Kewajiban Pembayaran — the tax assessment sheet) and the STNK validation stamp.

Does annual STNK validation require a vehicle physical inspection?
No. A physical inspection of the vehicle is ONLY carried out for the 5-year renewal or an ownership transfer.
Can the annual tax be paid through SIGNAL or e-Samsat?
Yes. Taxpayers may use the SIGNAL application or the official e-Samsat payment channels of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government.
Can someone else pay the annual tax on my behalf?
Yes, provided they bring the vehicle owner's original KTP together with a power of attorney letter bearing a duty stamp.
